Trae was actually out of town on his birthday,
in kansas city, visiting family, however,
upon his return, I had a couple birthday cakes waiting for him.
Why two?
My baking skills generally yield a 50/50 successful outcome.
I was simply covering my bases.
Also, I didn't have to cook all week since he was gone...
apple pie cake
(I attempted to make a seemingly similar recipe to the
'apple pie' we had in Amsterdam... fail. )
and a goat-cheese cheesecake
with almond flour crust
also called 'grand canyon' cheescake ;)
(and no it's not supposed to crack like that)
